Issues with Hierarchy table in portal thru standard iViews

Hi all

From portal I am able to insert/add new root node and child nodes under the new root node.

But I am not able to insert/add new child elements to the existing nodes which are there in the MDM hierarchy.

Can you please tell me , whether it is possible to add new child nodes to the existing nodes in the hierarchy? .

i have the following requirements, please let me know ASAP whether it is possible or not in portal thru STD iViews

1) One should be able to display the existing hierarchy u2013 some how it should display the parent and child relationship.

2) Should be able to choose the node where he/she wants to add a node (add a child / sibling etc.). Along with the attributes

3) Should be able to delete a node

Hi Sunil,

All the things you have stated are possible.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Create the ItemDetails iView and select the Hierarchy table.Set the property Is Select Record Event Supported to Yes

2. Create the ResultSet iView and select the same Hierarchy table.

3. Create one page and place both the iViews in it.

4. Now select the record from ResultSet iView (It should be highlighted properly. Click in the middle) and the same node will appear in the ItemDetails iView and you can Add the Child in it.
