Availability date of new product

Dear all,

I have to manage the following case.

From a defined date the engineering releases a new product and this product could be sold from this date.

Customers could insert a sales order for new products.

I have the following problem:

Customers insert a sales order for new product with a delivery date minor than release date and so in the system we have a lot of back orders.

I would like to have the following manage:

When the customer insert sales order the system have to determine automatically the delivery date equal to release (o availability) date

Could you help me?

Well, typically the re-scheduling should take care of pushing the CSL till the date of launch.

just a thought, we can try changing the Requested delivery date to the launch date. but the issue here would be that this will not be carried over to the Schedule line level.

I thnk we need to rely only on the re-scheduling.
