Hi experts,

I have three SAP systems:

- System A - Netweaver 6.40 - server 1

- System B - NetWeaver 7.0 - server 2

- XI system - NetWeaver 7.0 - server 2

I create RFC to connect System B and XI system XI_INTEGRATIONSERVER with parameters:

Target host: <server>

Service No. 8022

Path: /sap/xi/engine/?type=entry

User: PIAPPLUSER

and everything is ok because after test I get status 500.

With same setting on System A I get error HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized

Please help me,

Drazen

If you have no type in system, host, user and password, then the server 1 might not have access to server 2.

Try: long name of server, ip address. If you have access to OS level of the server, ping the systems.

Hi,

Steps to Resolve the 401 Unauthorized Error

Error Message

401 Unauthorized error messages are often customized by each website, especially very large ones, so keep in mind that this error may present itself in more ways than the common ones listed below:

"401: Unauthorized"

"HTTP Error 401 - Unauthorized"

The 401 Unauthorized error displays inside the Internet browser window, just as web pages do.

Cause

The 401 Unauthorized error is an HTTP status code that means the page you were trying to access can not be loaded until you first log on with a valid user ID and password. If you have just logged on and received the 401 Unauthorized error, it means that the credentials you entered were invalid for some reason.

Resolution

Check for errors in the URL.

It's possible that the 401 Unauthorized error appeared because the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to the wrong URL - one that is for authorized users only.

If you're sure the URL is valid, visit the website's main page and look for a link that says Login or Secure Access. Enter your credentials here and then try the page again. If you don't have credentials, follow the instructions provided on the website for setting up an account.

If you're sure the page you're trying to reach shouldn't need authorization, the 401 Unauthorized error message may be a mistake. At this point it's probably in your best interest to contact the webmaster or other website contact and inform them of the problem. The webmaster of most Internet sites can be reached via email at Website.com, replacing website.com with the actual website name.

The 401 Unauthorized error can also appear immediately after login which is an indication that the web site received your user name and password but found something about them to be invalid (i.e. your password is incorrect). Follow whatever process is in place at the website to regain access to their system.

Steps to Resolve the 500 Internal Server Error

Error Message

The "500 Internal Server Error" message can be customized by each website. While this isn't very common, keep in mind that this error may present itself in more ways than the common ones listed below:

"500: Internal Server Error"

"HTTP Error 500 - Internal Server Error"

"500 Error"

The 500 Internal Server Error displays inside the Internet browser window, just as web pages do.

Cause

The 500 Internal Server Error is a very general HTTP status code that means something has gone wrong on the web site's server but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem is.

Resolution

The 500 Internal Server Error is a "server-side" error, meaning the problem is not with your PC or Internet connection but instead is a problem with the web site's server.

Even though the issue is not yours to troubleshoot or resolve, there are a few things you can do:

Retry the web page by clicking the refresh/reload button or trying the URL from the address bar again. Even though the 500 Internal Server Error is reporting a general error on the web site's servers and not your computer, the server error may only be temporary. Trying the page again will often be successful.

Note: If the 500 Internal Server Error message appears during the checkout process at an online merchant, be aware that duplicate attempts to checkout may end up creating multiple orders - and multiple charges! Most merchants have automatic protections from these kinds of actions but it's still something to keep in mind.

Come back later. The 500 Internal Server Error message is one of the most common error message seen when checking out during an online purchase so sales are often disrupted. This is usually a great incentive to resolve the issue very quickly.

If you can't wait any longer for the problem to be resolved or if you'd like to help out, you may want to attempt to contact the webmaster or another website contact and advise them of their server error. The webmaster of most Internet sites can be reached via email at website.com, replacing website.com with the actual website name.

Hi,

3) Error: HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 401 Unauthorized

Description: The request requires user authentication

Possible Tips:

u2022 Check XIAPPLUSER is having this Role -SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER

u2022 If the error is in XI Adapter, then your port entry should J2EE port 5<System no>

u2022 If the error is in Adapter Engine

u2013then have a look into SAP note- 821026, Delete the Adapter Engine cache in transaction SXI_CACHE Goto --> Cache.

u2022 May be wrong password for user XIISUSER

u2022 May be wrong password for user XIAFUSER

u2013 for this Check the Exchange Profile and transaction SU01, try to reset the password -Restart the J2EE Engine to activate changes in the Exchange Profile After doing this, you can restart the message

Check this for more http errors.
