Hi Gurus,

If I checkedout some files of Leave request application that I want to modify and it placed under DTR open activity name.

If in case another user wants to modify something in the same files of leave request application?

can be able to do this? Please confirm? Becoz as far as I know once we checkout the files nobody can't do anything until files are checked in again.

Please confirm the same.

Thanks in Advance,

Dharani

Also multiple users editing the same files of the DC can lead to incosistency of data and may lead to your DC being Broken. Hence, this should be avoided.

Hey

Need to correct my previous answer.

If u checked out any files then even other user can also check

out.And even he can edit files but it will create problem during

activity check in.And u will land up with broken DC.

The only option is to check out exclusively.

go to navigator view right click ur Project->DTR->edit->Files in this folder(exclusive).

This will prevent broken DC

Sorry for previous answer.

Hi,

U are absolutely Correct.Untill and unless u check it in the

user wont be allowd to modify anything.

If u check out some others files in a different activity then u

wont be able to check in ur activity and U may land up with

broken Dc.

Hi,

Once you have checked out a file for editing, even another user can check it out for editing.

The solution for this is to exclusive check-out the files for editing. In this case , no other user can edit the file.
