Hi there,
it´s possible to install the Developer Workplace on a WinXP-Notebook, but don´t install the MaxDB locally but on a different machine?
Installguide says that it´s installed automaticly, so I think it will be installed on my notebook.
MSSQL so we think it´s possible because we have to install MSSQL at first but we need a licence.
Can anyone help us?
Best regards
Christian
Hi
You can do this stuff. MAXDB on one machine and developer workspace on other.
You have to download MaxDB from service marketplace. It would not ask for license.

Hi there,
no Solution?
my NW DevWorplace Installation on my Notebook (Thinkap R50, 2 GB RAM) take 1,4GB in Memory, when Instance runs. With my basicprocedures like Lotus Notes etc.pp. it´s too much and little free RAM for other processes.
Is there no other solution to install MaxDB on a different server/host without buy a MS SQL license??
Best regards
Christian
