Same controlling area but different company codes

We have 3 clients with 3 different company codes but all have a same controlling area. Since we have same controlling area we have some problem in maintaining the profit centers, cost centers and internal orders with respect to one company. To be more precise, Company X data can be viewed by the Company Y (Company X and Company Y are having same controlling areas say Z)

So how to restrict the profit centers, cost centers and internal orders with respect to one company so that one company data is not viewed by another.

Raj Kumar

Define CCTR/PRCTR ranges and/or heirachy which reflects the company split.

Maintain relevant auth objects with only these ranges, heirachy nodes or values which are associated with those company codes.

This will allow users to only access the data which is associated with those company codes.

Dear Alex,

Our first step was to maintain the Standard Hierarchy Nodes and the Alternate groups in the auth objects, when we do this Creation of Cost Center is success but the allocation was failing also the internal orders completely failed in this scenario.

Object K_CCA and K_PCA was maintained and the objects K_CSKS,K_CSKS_PLA for Cost Centers

Added to that the COA is same for both companies.

Hi Kamal,

What version of SAP are you working on? Internal orders should be OK to control through Responsibility Area
