In consignment sales we are creating a special partner function SB, what is the purpose of this partner function in this consignment sales . Plz explain me clearly.

it is optional to have SB as your consignment customer:

if you have these are the

for managing the stock under SB considering him as third party.

If SB does not exist in the sales document then system will take SP into consideration for processing of the documents.

Hi,

By defining a special partner function you can manage all the special stocks under one partner.

It makes sense to use the special stock partner if your customer is using decentralized order processing but manages consignment stock centrally.

Consignment goods which have been entered in a consignment fill-up are always posted to the stock of the special stock partner when goods issue is carried out.If a special stock partner does not exist in the document header, inventory management is carried out using the sold-to party.

Dear balu

It is not mandatory that you should have the partner function SB in consignment sales. Without this also, you can process consignment sales. If you set the indicator as mandatory in Partner Function assignment, while posting goods issue, you need to give the special stock partner which is nothing but sold to party you have to enter.
