Dear all,

Please help me the solution as following scenario.

Customer want to buy product. This product is designed based on the customer requirement. Process is below:

- Step 1: Customer deposit 500 USD for design expense.

- Step 2: After 2 days, customer returns. We show him the design.

If he rejects. Amount of 500 USD will become to other Revenue and Tax.

If he agrees this design. We continue step 3.

- Step 3: We input the sales price is 10000 USD. This price includes above deposit amount (500 USD). That means, customer only pays 9500 USD. He must downpayments 10% of 10000 USD.

Step 4: Finally, he pays all remain (9500 - 1000 = 8500 USD) after receives the product.

Thanks,

Son

Dear son,

You can make it in Payment terms"10% downpayment of total net value...."

Excute the order with design code....and move to Designing department...

Once customer rejected...G ive reason for rejection and save the order...That advance amount we can capture )Including Taxes)

If customer Accepted Contuniue the order..

Hi Keerthi Hiremath, Lucky

Thanks for your response. It's useful information.

I've tested successfully.

1st item for design material with downpayment only (no closing invoice) in case of customer agree with the design.

2nd item for product with full amount (no deduct design fee of 1st item). We can make billing plan arbitrary. When customer pays, FI person will use the downpayment of 1st item. That mean the remainder that customer pay is exclude the downpayment of 1st item.

Thanks,

Son

Hi Son,

You could do this:

Step 1: Create order with line 10 for $500. Whether customer likes design or not, this line is always billed.

If customer likes design, add line 20 to same order for remainder of $9500. This line will have a milestone billing plan of 10% with today's date and 90% in the future.

Or, it can be a periodic billing plan with two lines with amounts specified as:

$1000 today

$8500 some arbitrary date in the future with a billing block.
