Hi all,

Can any one tell me what is difference between SRM(Supply relationship Management) and SCM(Supply chain management) in detail.

Hi Gopinath,

SRM mainly focuses on procurement related activies (Purchasing). However SCM involves ened to end operations - Procurement, Planning, Sales, etc. So actually all new dimensional components (mySAP Business Suit modules) like APO (for planning), SRM (for prourement), CRM (for sales), ICH (for materials management), etc. all together considered SCM.

In layman terms we can say that these two subjects have parent-child relationship. SRM is a subset of SCM. Few people mis-understand SCM as only APO - Its not so.
