Route Determination and Shipping Point

Hi,

In what way Route Determination and Shipping Point are connected.

advise please.

The route is found depending on the country and the transportation zone of the shipping point. If two shipping points have the same country and the same transportation zone, the same route determination data applies to both.

If, on the other hand, different routes should be found for two shipping points, they must be in different transportation zones (with the same country).

The country and transportation zone of the Shipping point is also considered for determination of Route in sales order and also for redetermining it in delivery.

The system can automatically determine a route for each item during order entry. If visit lists/plans underlie order entry the system uses the routes from the visit lists/plans. If no visit lists/plans exist, the system performs standard route determination. The following criteria affect route determination in an order:

· Country and transportation zone of the shipping point (departure zone)

· Shipping condition

· Transportation group of the material

· Country and transportation zone of the ship-to party

the system is to perform standard route determination in the delivery again, it also takes into account the weight group (weight of entire delivery). The system saves the delivery route in the delivery header. As it is saved in the document header the route applies to the whole delivery

Hi Simon,

When you create delivery document the route will be determoned based Shiping point (Depature zone) and based on the Ship to party (Destination zone) so we need link the shipping point while configuring route determination.

hello, friend.

a route is determined by taking two transportation zones, one for the origin and the other for the destination. normally, you would expect the shipping point to be the point of origin, which is why you assign a transportation zone to it.
