Change sampling size

Hello QM masters,

Is there a way to change the sample size after de inspection lot has been created?

Example:

I am receiving palette per palette. When I receive the first palette the inspection lot is created with the sampling size related to the size of the inspection lot (in this case 1 palette). When I receive the rest of the palettes the sampling size is not updated.

How can I create a "dynamic" sampling procedure?

Hi,

After lot creation editing of sample size possible.

Step1. Go to required inspection plan and change the sample size and save the inspection plan.

Step 2. Go to QA02 enter inspection lot number click sample icon in entry screen and save the document. (Sample size reseted).

Step3. Go to QA02 enter same lot number re-assign the sample size and save the document. Now sample size will updated.

Hi Tiago,

You have asked two different questions in a sigle thread, But anyway, herewith have answers for them.

01. To change the sample quantity in inspeciton lot try the trx QCA1, will definatly work for changing it.

02. To change the sample size dynamically, you must try the "Dynamic Modification Rule"(DMR) (trx QDR1), it will 100% solve your problem.

The transaction QCA1 doesu2019t exist, I think you mean transaction QAC3 that resets the sample size and permits a new size calculation. Anyway thanks for your replay and if you have anymore information about this issue please replay.

Dear Tiago,

Sorrry for that tipographical error. that trx is QAC1.

QAC3 will cancel you entire physical sample numbers, while by QAC1 you can rest the sample size only for your physical sample.

And according to your requirement I think what you need is to change in sample size dinamically for the inspection lot for a material for different GRs. Correct?

To incorporate this requirement SAP provides the functionality of DMR (QDR1). By using it you can preset the sample size for a material with a scenarion of dynemic change.

e.g.

For Material A when first recipt the lot sample size should be 2 Nos.

For Materail A second recipt the lot sample size should be Nos.

For Materail A second,third,fourt,fifth.......tenth recipt lot sample size shlould be zero.

For MAterial A eleventh recipt lot sample size should be 2 again.

For Material A twelveth recipt lot sample size should be 1

........

.......

this sequence will be repeted by system automatically. Plz refere the attached URL link help in my previous reply that describes the DMR functionality bueutifully and in detailed.
