Mail Adapter Error

Hi,

We have 2 mail receiver adapters, both configured to send using the same Exchange server and both sending to the same people. Today one of the adapters is giving the following error:

failed to send mail: java.io.IOException: server does not support PLAIN or LOGIN authentication

I cant see anything wrong with the Communication Channel details and I have restarted the adapter.

Any ideas?

hI,

Remove your outlook user id and password and keep authentication mode as Plain and try in mail adapter configuration

That worked. looks like someone added username and password to the Comm Channel. I removed them and it worked.

Thanks for the notes but this is an SMTP adapter.
