Unable to connect to visual administrator

Hello guys ,

I am unable to login to visual administrator as i am getting an eeror "cannot open connection on the host "10.10.10.75 and port 50004".

And can i known what is note 723909 as I am very new to sap basis...................

Hello Sainath,

1)Make sure the j2ee is up and running

2)In the instance number of your J2EE is XX, make sure the port you use to connect via VA is 5XX04.

2)check for the latest trace info on this inside the defualt trace.

/usr/sap/sid/JCXX/j2ee/cluster/serverx/logs/defaulttrace.

As you said the J2EE engine is not working.I have already posted the log in one of the post...in this list with J2EE server failed to start....

Kindly help me out to resolve this issue.................

Hi,

Make sure your java is up.Just use this http://ipaddress:5xx00/default.html

if this page is dispalyed then your java is up and running.

Then start the visual admin,here if your system is abap+java then you have to use j2ee_admin uid and password.Just create a new connection with this user id and select direct connection to dispatcher,local host and the port number should be 5xx04.

Then login.Now you should be able to login.

If your java system is not up just start it if not post the disp and server log files.
