JavaEE Internet Connection Manager In Safe Mode

Hello world.

I have just run the update patches for my system (Netweaver CE 7) and now after reboot my JavaEE Internet Conenction Manager says "Problems ( Synchronizing Binaries [Safe Mode] )"

I have tried to stop and start the JavaEE Internet Connection manager but same thing.

Below are some logs I found at the following path: E:\usr\sap\SPO\J00\log\sapccmsr.

Not sure if that will help, it appears Im missing a *.DAT file from somewhere.

All help is appreciated!

Thanks.

-Kevin

Hi,

To remove the system from the safe mode,

Navigate to /usr/sap/<SID>/JCxx/j2ee/configtool-configtool.bat

Enter for the "Default DB settings"

Then,in teh top left corner, when u see the drop down from" file"

click on SafeMode. If it is " Yes".Chenage the value to "No".Save it.and tehn restart teh system.

Usha!

Thanks for your information! I am in the process of trying this now.

Off Topic question:

I was reading that the JAVA application server will only take passwords in all CAPS. If you understand this to be true, would you happen to know how to globally change all the user passwords so I can specify a password that has all caps or only numbers?

Thanks again!

In order to monitor J2EE with CCMS you need to install the agent. There're three steps to install the agent:

1. Create the CSMREG user in the central monitoring system (transaction RZ21)

2. Create the CSMCONF file in the central monitoring system (transaction RZ21)

3. Register the agent with the SAP NetWeaver CCMS Agent Setup Tool

I think if you do these three steps, the missing file will be recreated. I hoop this will help.

Kind regards.

Hi Mustafa Sehic!!!

Thanks for getting back to me!! Please forgive my novice questions but I am very new to the SAP world.

Is there any Notes, helpful step-by-step or "how to" info that can help me through running/creating these transactions etc..?

Thanks a million!
