Managing multiple versions of same entity via effective dates

Hello Everyone,

Our project needs to create and store multiple versions of an entity and have effective start/end dates drive the entity availability in target ordering systems.

For e.g. Product A has three versions with effective dates as follows:

1. Version 1 Start 05/01/2008 End 07/01/2008

2. Version 2 Start 06/01/2008 End 12/12/2008

3. Version 3 Start 01/01/2009 End -

Just wanted to know whether MDM provides out of the box ability to control entities/attributes based on applicable effective dates?

or if, there are any known plans to provide effective date tracking in MDM in near future releases?

You can make use of qualified table by using product number as Non-qualifier field and Version and Effective Dates as qualifier fields.
