Hi,
I want to make a webservice service unavailable on XI?
one way is to stop/deactivate the communication channel.
is there any other way....so that we can make the webservice unavailable on XI.
Please help me on this.

Hi,
Communication Channel is the starting or ending port of communication. So to di-connect the interface you need to shut off the Communication channel (Deactivate/ stop)
Else other objects may create the error log in XI system.

I am not sure about your requirement but you can try the following.
1.) You can regenerate the Webservice having SOAP url with some random Host, port, sender, channel etc.. and use it, so that no one can call or the webservice fails
2.) You can also delete the Webservice uploaded as external definition but I guess this might lead to inconsistencies in IR
3.)If its receiver webservice then you can give false values in the Target URL in communication channel ( here you are not deactivating the channel)
