Creating a new directory on AL11

Hi Guys,

Here's a scenario :

Server A - Windows Server

Server B - HP UX & SAP

I want the Server B to see a windows folder which I already shared ( using cifsclient ) and it worked perfectly.But then I have to configure a new path in SAP so that the developers can use it to view the new shared folder ( AL11 ). I already add the new path for it but it doesnt come out... any ideas? Thanks

Hi Hazrienne,

Just use transaction "AL11" --> click on "Configure"

Type the following in the available fields:

for Directory Name: "Directory Path" (ex. /usr/sap/PRO/tempdir)

Entre Alias Name Enter Directory: Z_MY_DIR

Enter Server Name: all

And finally click on the save button.

New name of button: Manage user directories, and is only available as button (no menue point, no keyboard shortcut.

second from left, above the list.

you can specify DIR_<something also>, no need to start with Z,Y
