Hi Gurus,

Can any one explain me why the SD basic fuction components like

a.Materail determination,

b.Listing and exclusion

c.Routes

are again maintained under Logistics Execution-- Shipping --- Basic Functions.

Is both are same or else we can maintain different master under each.

i understood your question. R/3 appplications are categorized into there core functional areas.

1) logistics 2) financials 3) human resoursesout of these functional areas againfurther sub-divisions or modules.

1) logistics:

1) in logistics SD confi -willbe done .

2) MM material con-fi willbe done.

3) WM confi willbe done.

4) PP confi willbe done.

5) QM confi willbe done.

2) financial

1) FI financial accounting con-fi willbe done.

2) CO con-fi willbe done.

3) EC con-fi willbe done.

4) TR treasury con-fi willbe done.

5) IM investment management con-fi willbe done.

3)Human resourses

1) PA personal administration con-fi willbe done..

2) PD personal development con-fi willbe done.

Hi Anand,

1) Material determination is used to swap one material for another in the sales order using the condition technique. Materail determinatin is material specific. In the sense any customer who orders a material A would receive B either for promotion / non availability / or old material is obslete.

2) Listing and exclusion:

Listing is nothing but making the material usable fo r a particular customer Sales Area and so on for other key combinations TCode VB01

Exclusion is excluding the material for a particular customer or sales area or other Key Combinations

3) Both the Routes are same
