Hi,
Did any of you already try and use XQuery in SAP XI for transformation? And anyone ever tried Schematron to validate XML messages in SAP XI?
These 2 XML technologies would seem very nice additions to the SAP XI tooling.
Kind regards, Guy Crets

Hi,
Presently XI will supports only XSL(xml style sheet language) for transformation of xml except graphical, java and abap mappings.
It will not support XQuery.
Default validation technology for xml messges in XI is XSD(Xml schema definition) which is efficient in all the cases. which contains all data types xsd:string, xsd:date, xsd:boolean etc. XSD supports ennumerations and several restrictions also.
for more information open data type and righrt click on one node and select the properties option.
thanks,
madhu

Seems like XQuery is not available as a standard mapping option. It is possible to integrate an XQuery processor (e.g. Saxon) via a Java mapping but have no experience with this solution in a production environment.
