Availability control in Budgeting

Hi All,

Please advice me how to activate avilability control while creating project (When there is no budget allocated to project) in order to control the creation of PR & PO.

Hi ,

U can achievre this using user status.

For creating user status we have to use transaction OK02

Here create a user status profile with user status NBUD- Not Budgeted

Select object type as WBS element and once u double click on the NBUD - Not budgeted u can see the system status. For the system status Budgted select the radio button delete. So that when u do the Budger for WBS the NBUD status will be deactivated.Also similarly for Material PO/Material PR /WBS release status select forebidden option against the individual system status.

This user status profile u have to assign to the project profile.

If ur activating AVAC in CJ30 iteself then these settings are enough to forebid PO/PR generation before budgeting for that WBS.

while executing the transaction CJBV, system will not activate the budget. we already faced this problem.

there are two option

1-you can control by using the user status.

2- Enter the budget say " Rs.1" in the transaction CJ30 and save. then go again remove the budget. now the availabilty control will be automatically activated on whole project.

Availability control activation depends on the settings maintained in budget profile. In there you've option of activating the control 'On budgeting', 'Background' or 'Never'.

There are quite a lot of posts on availability control, please search for them.

My requirement is that in case i have not allocated budget and availability control is not activated,then there should not be any PR & PO creation.

Hi,

As a standard procedure its not possible but there is a work around as follows:

Step1: Tcode: CJ30, assign some minimal budget. And save.

Step2: Tcode CJBV;

Step3: Delete the budget to Nil.

In this case the Budget is nil, but the availability control is activate.

Other option is to go for the USer status level control which will forbid the Processes in question.
