How to use an existing certificate for the ABAP SSL setup using STRUST

Former Member

Hi

All the documentation say to Create certificate Request and subsequently import the Certificate response from a CA.

In our case, the company has a certificate from a valid CA root and we would like to use this when creating the SSL PSE files, in particular, the SSL Server PSE.

Should I use sapgenpse instead of strust??

What are the steps to apply the certificate (www.company.com.au) to this instance (host.dom.internal)??????

Thanks

Doug

Hi

I received the instructions from SAP on how to do this. I'll post it here for others to use:

1. Create a pkcs12 certificate file from your existing certificate

2. Copy to your PC

3. In transaction STRUST , click on FILE at bottom left hand pane.

4. In the file dialog box select the pkcs12 file copied to your PC.

5. Select PSE -> Save As

6. In the Save As dialog, select the appropriate PSE to save as.

7. Restart ICM (althought I had to restart the instance to get it to work).

You can save your certificate on the client or server PSE, or both.

Hope this will help.
