Hi,

I installed a local J2EE engine on my machine. WHen I go to the WebDynpro Administrator to configure JCo conenctions for Importing RFC's, the Test SLD and JCo Connections button is unhighlighted. Moreever the SLD Url shows http://-1/sld

How do I input the correct URL of SLD ( http://<host-name>:<port-name>/sld ) in the Wendynpro Administrator so that I can configure JCo for adaptive RFC.

AGain, this is local J2EE Engine.

Thanks

Hi,

The port for the Visual Admin is 50004.

User id is the administrator id and password is the J2EE admin password.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

Thanks. I could get the VA working. One more question though. In RZ70 transaction, it is not recognizing the Host as localhost and the RFC call is failing.

How can the R/3 system recognoze the localhost server on my laptop ? Sounds kind of strange ?

Thanks everyone for their inputs.

Thanks

Hi ALl,

Sorry for the late response. I was into something else. I am still having this problem...

Here are all the ports that I see in the system information page

HTTP: 50200

P4 : 50204

TELNET: 50208

I am trying to give the Port Number as 50200 in the VA. It says cannot open connection. I tried with P4 port and it says illegal port entered.

What could be wrong here..

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you both for the answers. But I now have a new problem. As per the blog, I need to log onto the J2EE engine through Visual Administrator.

I tried to create a new connection with Localhost and Port name in VA but it says "Cannot open connection"

My J2EE Central Instance and sub-instances are running.

Also, I am giving the right port (50200 in my case) since I can access J2EE index.html page at http://localhost:50200.

Then why it is saying cannot open conenction to the J2EE server ?

Thanks and points given to both

Are you connecting to the message server or directly to the dispatcher? You should be going to the dispatcher.

Hi,

In the home page.. u will have a link for system information .. can u see the information of the system..

Here it will also display the status of all the process..

Are all of them running.. ?

Also.. In the system information page.. The p4 port will be displayed.. Is this port used in the VA logon settings ...?

Hi,

Go to visual admin .SLD data supplier..

1. Set the HTTP settings as localhost and port <server port>

2. In CIM client generation settings give the same values.. localhost , <server port> and username and password..

Try this.. It will then change the path to http://localhost:50000/sld.
