GRN is not possible ...

Hi Friends

I am getting an error while doing a GRN. When i do GRN by taking a reference of PO an error comes :

" goods reciept for purch. order" is not allowed(WBS XXXX.XXX.X)

I have checked system as well as user status and both allow the business transaction .Pls let me know what can be the exact reason , a quick reply will be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Check whether you can maintain stock for WBS. Goto CJ20N, open you project, on 'Control Data' tab page check what is maintained under Project Stock section. I doubt it is no stock.

I have checked it is "valuated stock"...

For more clearification below is given the description of error:

"Goods receipt for purch. order" is not allowed (WBS PS.0002.1.B.02.A)

Diagnosis

The current status of object 'WBS PS.0002.1.B.02.A' prohibits business transaction 'Goods receipt for purch. order'.

Procedure

To process business transaction 'Goods receipt for purch. order', you first have to change the status of object 'WBS PS.0002.1.B.02.A' to allow the transaction 'Goods receipt for purch. order'.

This gives you an overview of the system and user statuses that affect the transaction. A transaction can only be executed if there is at least one status that allows it and there is no status that forbids it.

But i have already checked that neither system status nor user status disallow the business transaction.

the system status is PREL & BUDG

User status is REL , the user staus doesn't restrict the business transaction "GR for PO"

waiting for further suggestion...

Your user status seems to be prohibiting the GR process. Set the status suitably (after talking to person who configured it)

It seems you have only released the activity.

Please release the WBS element in question.

That will soleve your issue.

Try releasing all the lower level WBS elements under this higher level WBS. Ensure to have status REL on the WBS against which you are doing the GR.

Hi,

I am assuming the status of WBS PS.0002.1.B.02.A as PREL,BUDG.

PREL meaning it is partially release.

Please select this WBS PS.0002.1.B.02.A in CJ20N and go to EDIT->Status-> Release.

After this save the project.

Open the same project the status of the WBS PS.0002.1.B.02.A should be REL BUDG

Now Try the GRN.
