Storage location problem

Hi SD gurus,

We have two storage locations one for shipping and deliveries (3000) and other for production and manufacturing consumption (1000) both have FERTS. Goods issue for production is done from 1000, this is explicitly maintained for production. But the problem is that whenever a sales order delivery is created it seems to be taking out material from 1000. We want to prevent creation of deliveries from 1000 instead do delivery from 3000. Could anyone help me out with problem. This is WMS managed plant, Thanks a lot.

Dear Raji,

If it is possible,you can maintain the different storage conditions to the the materials which are stored in the 3000 storage location and the the materials which are stored in the 1000.

You assign the storage conditions to the materails in the material master.

After defining the defferent storage conditions based on the storage conditions you can assign the picking locations 1000 and 3000 to the plant.

Now the system will pick the storage location based on the material which you have enetred in the delivery.

IMG path is SPRO>Logistics execution>sHIPPING>Picking>Determine picking location.

1) define rule for picking location determination.

2) define storage condition.

3)assign picking location

shipping point+storage condition +plant +storage location

4) define situation

5) storage location determination with situation

now automatically storage location with giving the user system will automatically determine.

For this make sure in IMG-determine picking locations check if any settings exist related to plant shipping ptstorage location.

if ever combination is required for you make it and others delete it if not required.

Hi

Goto OVL3 and make the necessary assignments for determining the storage location.

Shipping point-plant-storage conditions - default storage location(in your case it is 3000)
