movement type 557 and 921

hi,

I have a scenario that plant X sends 100nos.materials to plant Y .But plant Y receives only 90no( supposed to be 100 nos) 10 nos..are lost in transit..At plant Y I shortclose the PO and accept the 90nos. qty. At Plant Y I have no problems.

At plant X I need to show this loss .How I can update quantity and value updation .Is movement type 557 and 921 of any help .? pls give your comment

Dear madan

If you are following MM route, this is quite possible. Supplying Plant will deliver 100 nos. against a PO reference via 351 movement. Receiving Plant will update 90 nos. via 101 movement.

So if you go to PO history, you can view the shortage details.

I think 921 is a movement type created by you. and in plant X i dont think you have to enter 10 quantity as damaged or any such thing as you are sending it to plant Y - where you are already showing the loss.
