"Cannot connect to host:" - Visual Administrator Error

Dear Experts,

I am unable to login using Visual administrator and the portal is also down. When i try to login using VA it gives the error

Cannot connect to Host:XXX and Port:XXXX 

and when i try to call the portal url i get a page cannot be displayed error is displayed.

I have tried the following solution with out any luck.

The Visual Administrator is connecting to the Java-stack and if it's not up and running you can't use it.

You need to find the reason for the Java-stack being down.

Have you checked dev_jcontrol, dev_server0, dev_dispatcher ?

Please describe more or post any errors in the above files.

I have solved the issue. Somebody had played with the parameters. once i retored back to a older profile everything is ok now.

Hello Thanu,

Can you first try starting the Portal. Do you have access to the portal ? If yes, can you post some logs from the portal ?
