The job SAP_COLLECT_BDOC_STATS fails

Former Member

Hello All,

On our system the standard SAP job SAP_COLLECT_BDOC_STATS fails every time with the error Statistic file could not be read on destination <instance name>. I have tried searching for problem on SAPnet and took action as suggested in note: 372675, still no luck.

I have checked the statistics file(.dat) on os level through dd command and read/right is fine.

Please help.

Regards,

Sudhir

Hi

Check the RFC which is used by the mentioned job for collecting data from the instance which is shown in the error.

There might be authorisation problem, or might be ip change of the target instance.

Hello,

Check if the OS userid <sid>adm on the central instance able to access /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<instance number>/data of the application server pr1a01_PR1_72

Check relevant RFC destinations in SM59

Siddhesh,

No, the user sidadm can not access directory /usr/sap/PR1/D72/data from CI and I think ideally it should not because you do not share the /usr/sap/SID of apps servers. Correct me if I am wrong.

The RFC connections are fine.

Hello,

It should have atleast the following permissions:

-rw-r----

which means read/write for owner and read permissions for group

Siddhesh,

The permissions of data directory on app server are:

drwxr-xr-x

So, I think thats sufficient.

Thanks,

Sudhir

Hello,

The permissions look fine, what about the stat files ? if the file permissions are fine too, then probably this is something else.
