project coding mask

Hello Experts,

i have coding mask PS.0000.0.X.00.X.0

when we craete WBS it should come like

ps.0001.1.A.01.A.1

but it comes like

ps.0001.1.1.01.1.1

why?

please suggest me.....

Hi,

In coding mask "X" is an alphanumerics input. Meaning it can accept both Numerics as well as alphabets.

One need to inpu what is required.

In your case please input "A" and not "1"

when we craete wbs thru t code cj20n, it automaticaly comes as i described. is it possible that alphabets come automatically. i dont want change wbs manually.

Hi,

"PS" as I understood is Proejct ID.

And the later part is the Project coding.

This project coding will change from project to project.

As you are aware no two projects can have the same Project id.

So its not possible to set this coding mask by default.

i just want to know that is there any possibility to come wbs like

.0001.1.A.01.A.1 automatically without any mannual work?

for more explaination i want at alphanumeric place only alphabet come.

No.

The standard SAP does not provide the default cosing mask only for the characters.
