Hi all,
Could anyone tell me what all settings we need to do when we setup a system?(dev/test/cons/prd
Any SAP Notes or documentation available related to standard system settings?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Sundar.
Hi Sundar,
Your question is very general so it is hard to answer in more than a general way. Here is a link to the installation documentation for NW2004s.
https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/installnw2004s
I hope this helps!

Hi Michael,
Thank you very much for the nice link.
To be more specific, I would like to know more about the system parameters settings for a system.
Could you please let me know the mandatory parameters and the optional parameters in a system?
Thanks and best regards,
Sundar.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the clarification. I will explain in detail:
We need to setup a lot of systems (post-installation steps) like DEV, CONS, TEST...
Here, I need to check T000 table, SE03 settings, RZ11 paramaters etc.etc.
But many times, I have noticed that the paramaters in RZ11 are not properly set or have some basic values which would not suffice. Unfortunately, I have documentation only for a very few like:
> transport/systemtype,
> login/no_automatic_user_sapstar,
> rdisp/wpdbug_max_no,
> vmcj/option/maxJavaHeap (plus a few others).
I am aware that the value of the parameters changes when the system type changes.
So with this limited knowledge, many times I find it difficult to check if:
a> the parameters have correct values
b> installed parameter set is complete
That's the reason why I thought of a posting in SDN.
I would be really great if you could give me some links/notes regarding parameters.
Kindly let me know if you need any further information.
Thanks and best regards,
Sundar.
