Transaction SM30

Why do we use transaction SM30 - Maintain table views when this can be done through transaction SE11.

please help.

Table maintenance is used to maintain data in the tables you created generally known as custom tables.

You have maintain that table to see the values, whereas for standard tables it is not necessary.

It can be set in transaction SE11 - Tools - Table maintenance generator.

Table maintenance Generator is used to manually input values using transaction SM30.
