Hello SAP gurus,
I have some issues installing the PI 7.0 on windows server.
I had downloaded the necessary Netweaver CD's from Service Market place. But when I run the SAPINST, I donot see any option to install the central instance.
The Inst.CD I am using is 51033511_11.
Please throw me some ideas if any of you have recently installed PI 7.0
Thanks
Surya

Hi,
Once you extract the CD/DVD content you will find the folder with
"BS_installation_Master_Windows32.." You will have SAPINST in it and it will guide you the rest of the process.

Hi Swarup,
Thanks for your reply.I did search in the Inst guide for Netweaver '07. But it didnt help me much.
My basic problem is during the sapinst itselft. I cant see any option for the central instance installation.
But Thanks for your reply though...

Hi,
For central instance select the javasystem->your databse ex:oracle ->centrlinstance->Default installaiton
Database DB2/ Oracle must be installed before starting sapinst...after that install the central instance followed by the database instance installation. the ides installation differs only slightly from a "normal" installation...just use the appropriate ides export cd/dvd...
plz read the installation guide and the relevant sapnotes carefully!!!
Thanks
Swarup
