TMS Problem

Dear Experts,

Recently after the kernel upgrade, we are facing problem with TMS. We are having a two system landscape with DEV and PRD. The development system queue is not opening and is displaying a message RFC_SYSTEM_FAILURE. We tried all the options like checking the RFC, generating RFC, reset TMSADM and distribute and activate profile, but of no help.

When we do Distribute and Activate the profile for DEV system it shows a clock at the bottom with Adjust Transport profile and after some display a error saying as below

"Target system: DEV.DOMAIN_DEV(999)

Function: TMS_PS_WRITE_PROFILE_TO_DISK

RFC message: Error SYSTEM_CORE_DUMPED occured. P1=0"

Finally, we also tried by deleting the entire TMS and reconfigure it, but when we try to reconfigure the TMS after deletion it is giving a error in TMS ALERT VIEWER RFC_SYSTEM_FAILURE and READ_PROFILE_FAILED.

Please suggest.

Regards

Sharath

Hi,

Sorry for not closing this post after the issue was solved. The issue is solved and after putting the system variable ComSpec as C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe in the environment variable the issue is solved.

Hello Sharath,

What are the permissions on /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/tp and /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/R3trans , i think they are incorrect.

Hi,

To me it sounds like you're having som kind of problem with the transport-directory

Function: TMS_PS_WRITE_PROFILE_TO_DISK

(Windows:
saptranshost\sapmnt\trans, Unix: /usr/sap/trans).

Is it full or have the authorization been changed ?
