I am using NW 2004s and would like to know which SR the administrator installed?
How can I see it?

If you want to check the release/SP info, you could go to
/usr/sap/<instance>/j2ee/cluster/server0/version.txt
It will have Release as well as SP info.

a SR is only a definition of 'combined' hotpackages, so if you have 640 SR1 this would mean HP-level 11.
for 2004s you got
SR3 Stacks 01 to 14
SR2 Stacks 01 to 09
SR1 less than 09
check in table CVERS where you are now and determine then, what SR it must have been you started out with
