Hi all,
SAP GUI for Java 6.30 rev 12 is available at
ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/java/630r12/ and
http://service.sap.com/sapgui-java
Since Mac OS X is the only platform currently still supported with SAP GUI for Java 6.30, there is only the Mac version available.
Be reminded that support for the Mac OS X version ends by the end of this year like communicated earlier in support matrix (http://www.service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700008661652002E) and note 630648 (http://www.service.sap.com/form/sapnet?_FRAME=CONTAINER&_OBJECT=012006153200000505582003).
Unfortunately Mac OS X 10.3 has not been qualified to run SAP GUI for Java 6.40 because of a serious bug in the OS happening in combination with JRE 1.4.2. This means that upgrading to SAP GUI for Java 6.40 also requires upgrading to Mac OS X 10.4, where Apple has fixed that bug in the OS.

SAP GUI for Java Development
Hi Rolfe,
I have successfully installed the newest GUI for Java. When I go to configure the various systems it does not allow me to put in a system, group server or a router. My basis department does not support the Mac OS so I am on my own. From reading the documentation, there is a file that I need on my hardrive that stores these values so that I can create these connections. Do you know where I can find a sample copy of this file. I am making the assumption that once I receive the file, I can input the various system values and then configure my SAP connections.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Shonda

Hi,
I am going to be using a Mac with OS X 10.5. I use SAP ECC and APO, but have followed all the different links to try and download the gui but with no luck. Can someone please give me a link which works.
Cheers.

Hello Jasmeet,
the connection string puzzle is explained in the documentation coming with the installation of SAP GUI for Java. A sample puzzle is available on chapter 7.4. There are also various threads in this forum how to solve the puzzle (searching in this forum for "configuration java" and setting the date range to "all" will show many samples).
Best regards
Rolf-Martin
