Hello everybody.
I just downloaded and unrar'ed the Netweaver 7 Trial VM. The machine Loads in VMWare Player just fine (except for complaining about not finding device ide0:0 - which would be a cdrom, if I Had one). After logging on I am left at a Suse Linux Desktop. I try to start SAPGui but the only pre-configured entry in SAPGui doesn't work. When trying to connect I get a
-
Error: partner ivml2005:3242 not reached
-
message.
I downloaded the Image from here:

There is also a Link to a getting started guide, but the link seems to be broken.
I cannot even add a new entry to the sapgui, because I do not know Hostname or Client or any Logins (except sap*).
Thanks in advance.
Hi Timo
Could you please try to "ping ivml2005" and check what is being returned?
And then could you pleaes go to the folder of:
/usr/sap/<SID>/SCSxx/work, and check the log files of dev_ms, then you can get the message server port there.
Also check the dev_. files under /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/work
Here you can get the hostname and the status of the workprocess.
Best Regards,
ThunderFeng
