MY server MMC CONSOLE TREE got deleted. And i am trying to recover this using
sapstartsrv.exe command. then i am getting a popup box, in that its asking me to fill in
-
Operation : install serviceregister com interfacestart service (// radio button)
SID: <sid>adm
NR: ??????
Start profile: //I have selected the respective start profile <sid>_DVEBMGS00_<sid>
User: <sid>adm

Can any one tell me what value i should be giving in NR?
Also please correct me the values i am giving in rest of the fields. I have filled rest of the values, except NR.
Please tell me what NR means and which value i should be giving.
regards,
satish.
Hi
For SID it should be your SAP SID not <sid>adm user id. e.g if your development system has sid DEV then you have to enter DEV there.
NR stands for your instance number, here it is 00.
Rest is ok.
Regards
Rahul

Hi,
NR means instance number, which in your case is 00.
BUT, if the MMC structure is gone it means that you'll need to restore sapmmc.msc.
In worst case, you can find SAPMMC.SAR or SAPMMCU.SAR on your Netweaver 7.0 Presentation CD. Directory PRES1\NT\<platform>\MMC
Unpack the correct one with SAPCAR (E g SAPCAR -xvf SAPMMC.SAR).
Then you got a brand new sapmmc.msc.
Start --> Run --> MMC
Then File --> Open and select the new file.
