Define/Copy Sales Organisation and Adress

Define Distribution Channel

Maintain Sales Office and Adress

Maintain Sales Group

Then Assignment

Assign sales organization to company code

Assign distribution channel to sales organization

Assign division to sales organization

Set up sales area

Assign sales office to sales area

Assign sales group to sales office

Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant

Assign sales area to credit control area

Define Rules By Sales Area

Assign Business Area To Plant And Division

Assign Business Area by Sales Area

SD Guis maintain this only.

Hi Reddy,

just would like to add, along the with basic org elements like what our friends have suggested you also need to understand there might be specific assignments which may or may bnot be required for your project, for example business area assignments in SD menu of enterprise structure. I might be using a profit center concept instead of business areas....

we also generally maintain the common distribution channels and divisions. Incase if there are any cusotmized document types then we need to make regarding the copy controls. Number ranges is one of the most important things.

1. Maintaining Sales Organization

Sales Organization is an organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or services.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check Sales organization

2. Assigning Sales Organization to Company Code

This assignment ensures all the sales made through this Sales Organization are accounted for in the assigned Company Code (Company Code is created by FI Consultant).

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign Sales Organziation to Company Code

3. Maintaining Distribution Channel

Distribution Channel is the way, in which Products or Services reach Customers.

4. Assigning Distribution Channel to Sales Organization

This assignment ensures, a Sales Organization can supply Materials to Customers through this Distribution Channel.

Division is a way of grouping materials, products, or services.
