Hi All
Heuristic "Planning of Std Lots with Shelf Life" plans considering shelf life.
It is working fine with plan orders and procss orders. However during our testing we have found that it is not considering available stock (CC category- even though stock is usable considering the manufacturing date and shelf life).
We have checked this at 2 project sites (APO 4.0) and it's behaviour is same.
Any Idea??

Hi,
please refer to OSS 391018 how to transfer the shelf life data of batches to APO.
Shelf life data for orders (production orders, qm lots etc) are calculated in APO by using the data (e.g. total shelf life) from the product master, shelf life data of batches of course have to be transferred from R/3 to APO as they are specified in the batch master.
Batches with missing expiry date are considered as expired by the heuristic.

Thanks Hubert. Your suggestions are very useful.
1. Integration model for batches is already active.
2. I couldn't understand the meaning of "have you transferred the shelf life data for the stock to APO via classification" .
We have batch classification active in R/3. Also Shelf life data (Material master) is being CIFed from R/3.
3. Batch no along with storage location details is available in product view (column : Receipt \ requirement elements). However i am not getting required shelf life details in product view. Though we are getting this detail for process orders and even for inspection lots.

Hi,
have you inlcuded the batches into the CIF integration model ?
have you transferred the shelf life data for the stock to APO via classification ?
Are the shelf life data for the batches visible in PPT or product view ?
.........
There are a few OSS notes how to set up R/3 and the CIF interface as prerequisiste for shelf life planning in APO.
