Update pricing

I have following query -

1. Create sales order

2. Go to change sales order - you can update pricing ,through update button .

3. Create delivery .

4. Do billing, VF01 .

5. Now you can not update pricing in sales Order .

Why we can do so ?

If I have carried out new pricing at billing and I want to adjust this in sales order is it possible?

Hi Oily,

You can't make any changes after creating the delivery for the sales order.

or

The sales order will not get update when you change the price in the invoice.

Thanks for replay!!

I can update the pricing even after delivery!! But not after

the billing !! may be due to the reason -I donu2019t have any pricing procedure at delivery level.

Basically I want -

if I re-price at invoice , I want same re pricing at sales order !!

Can it be done.

No it is not possible to update the revised price what is flowing in billing to carry to sale order.

Hi,

If you want to update the price then first you have to update it at Sales Order and then only at Invoice.

In your current position if you want the new price then you have to reverse / cancel the invoice and then update the price in Sales Order and then create Invoice.

Its not advisable from the business point of view to change the document which is already referenced.

Once the sales order is referenced i.e its subsequent document is created you cannot do any changes to pricing.

To do so you have to cancel the subsequent documents first.

Hello,

Once you create an sales order, you can do the update pricing in the order. But once the delivery created, PGI'ed and invoice created, you can do the update pricing in the invoice. YOu will not be allowed to change anything in pricing once the subsequent documents are created.

Hi,

Price updating function is available only for if there difference in price (Basic Price / Fright / Tax /etc) between creation of Sales Order u2013 Delivery to Invoice. So that you can update the price at Invoice level, so that you can charge Customer at actual.

And once you create invoice you canu2019t change / update the price at Sales Order level.
