storage location

Hi,

Can anybody guide-

1.If the sales order storage location is getting from Material master ( I think it getting from Issue Stor.Loc in MRP2 ) ,

2.if not from material master where from it is picked up / copied in the sales order.

3.we have some material in Plant A which we set up in material master str.loc EXAMPLE01 but it did not show up when create VA01.

Pls. guide.

Hi,

Storage location is determined from shipping pointplantstorage conditions.

if you maintain storage condition in plant/stor1 tab in material master and if your shipping point is determined in OVL2 then the storage location will automatically picked in Sales order. Shipping point is determined from Shipping conditions(shipping tab in customer master)+ loading group(material master general/plant tab)+plant. A material can be extended to any number of storage locations, so to pick-up automatically it is essential to maintain storage condition.

Hi,

As you had created your material (eg. EXAMPLE01) in Plant - A with respective Storage location but your had dont done Storage location determination.

For Storage location determination you have to go to following path :

SPRO ->Logestic Execution - > Shiping -> Picking -> Determine Picking Location - > Assign Picking Location

The Storage location Determination is base upon :

Shipping point + Plant + Shipping Condition (Form Cust Master) + Storage location

Note : Before you can allocate picking locations, you have to define the plants, shipping locations, and storage conditions.

Hi

Automatic determination of storage location in the sales order is not possible in the standard system. To achieve this you have to use a userexit.

You can configure for automatic determination of storage location in Delivery by making the assignments in Tcode OVL3.

HI,

Storage location determination was done on the basis of "Shipping point + plant + shipping conditons" and in the system we maintian in OVL3 tcode.

If ur doubt is clear reward me suitable points.
