Hi All,

Can anyone guide me installation procedure for MDM server ,import server and syndication server?

Hi Mullapudi,

First you need to install DatabaseServer say Sql Server.

Then install MDM server and the Syndication Server and GUI Clients.

rt click on MDM Server in DBMS settings in Data Path and Log Path provide the of Archive folder on both the places

Archive folder will be in Server folder.

If you have installed MDM Server in C drive then

C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Server\Archives

Hi Mullapudi,

The mdm architecture is such that we first have an underlying database layer adn which we have the Server and then the GUI's to access which is the presentation layer.

- So the first step would be to get the MDM server installables.

- Install a database such as Oracle or Sql and configure the listener and the DBMS instance.

- On that sytem then instal the MDM server,Import Server and the syndication server

- Finally install the MDM clients Console,Import Manager,Data manger,syndicator and the workflow installables if you want to work with the workflow table.

- The GUI's are easy to install just run the excutable files one by one and save it on your hard drive with icons on your desktops.
