Regarding automatic updation of planned cost in project

Dear all,

One help is required. In our case most of the project cost come from Materials. Now when the BOM is transferred to the project the planned cost of the material come on the project due to network costing. The price it takes is the price from material master (standard price). However due to some reason if after the BOM is already transferred on the project if changes in material master price required to be carried out then cost should get updated accordingly in the project (click on the activity - Edit - costs - calculate cost.).

Right now it is not happening in our case. Is there any configuration settings by which this can happen.

Hi,

If the material/BOM is not released, then please reassign the material to the projects.

Any changes in the material master after assignment to Projects do not get reflected automiatically.

Hence the material has to be reassigned.

Hi,

In my opinion, changes out of PS (MM in ur case) will not result in recalculation of cost in PS. Let us wait for others comments.

I never tried this option ..but check out once "Edit ->Cost->Update Cost".
