Backup Oracle with command dd only copies the first datafile to the tape!

Hi

There are some problems with my "Backup online + redo log" in DB13. I already tried to change the initSID.sap, tape, drive, tape block and I made tests that worked in linux with the TAR and DD too. It was proposed to me that could be the version of my BRTools, but in my opinion this is not the cause for the problem. I observed that the command dd can´t to jump to the second datafile. It copies the first (/oracle/NFP/sapdata2/sr3_1/sr3.data1) to the tape and after stop, giving the error below!

My configuration is:

OS: Linux Red Hat Enterprise 5

SAP: SAP NetWeaver 2004s

DB: Oracle 10.2.0.1.0

Tape Drive: Ultrum LTO 3 400/800

First I need to tell you that your database version is unsupported. You have to install 10.2.0.2 + the 40+ interim patches (see note 871096 - Oracle Database 10g: Patch sets/patches for 10.2.0):

You must install at least Oracle patch set 10.2.0.2 if you want to use Oracle Release 10.2 in the SAP environment. In addition, apply the patches specified in this note. All patches currently required are available for 10.2.0.2. New patches will also be made available for this release.

I think the returncode could not be evaluated correctly, it gets "0" back but it does think it gets something different.

I would

- upgrade the database to a supported release

- upgrade the BR*TOOLS to the latest version

--> try again
