Hi,
I have a fresh OS win 2003 system and I need to install SAProuter. I want to know, whether I have to Install SAP R/3 before installing SAProuter? Or I can create a new folder SAPROUTER and keep the saprouter.exe files in the fresh OS because in that system its not having usr/sap directory. Whether I need to create this dir also. What are the prerequisites for installing SAProuter. When I look into market place, I can able to find only the xxx.sar files not an installation files.
Thanks
Regards,
Ral
Hi,
there is no need install SAP.
Just create a directory saprouter
following are the pre-requisites:
1.Fill up the configuration Detail form and submit to SAP
To fill up the form go to Internet Connections ---> Technical Specifications
2.The connection could be setup using SNC and ISDN connection to SAPserv2. In this case you will be dialing to your local ISP provider for establishing your ISDN connection and using SNC to setup a "Secure tunnel" via the internet to SAP. Please ensure that you have an Static official IP for the SAProuter registration.
3.You need to register your data for the SNC connection for SAP support.
4.Sap Support will provide you with following details
Destination IP address at SAP side: 194.39.131.xx
Hostname of this machine : sapserv2
Customer data
IP address yours SAProuter/Proxy machine: xx.xx.xx.xx
Hostname yours SAProuter/Proxy machine : KK
Your Distinguished Name:
"CN=KK, OU=xxxxxxxxx, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE"
After completing the above requirement we have to proceed further with Router Configuration procedure.
Router Configuration Procedure
1.Create a directory d:/saprouter
2.download saprouter_9-10001664.sar(saprouter.exe), sapcar_5- 10001664.exe (sapcar.exe), 90000101.car(sapcrypto.dll)
3.download the above and extract the same in the directory d:/saprouter using command path d:/saprouter
sapcar_5-10001664.exe u2013 xvf saprouter_9-10001664.sar
sapcar_5-10001664.exe u2013 xvf 90000101.car ( This will create directory ntintel copy the contents of ntintel to d:/saprouter)
4.Create a windows file SAPROUTTAB in d:/saprouter with the following entry
SNC-connection from and to SAP
KT "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" 194.39.131.34 *
SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for Support
KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" * *
SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for pcAnywhere
KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" * 5631

KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" * 1503
Access from your local Network to SAPNet - R/3 Frontend
#P 194.39.131.xx 3299
P * 194.39.131.xx 3299
All other connections will be denied
D * * *
Creating the certificate request
1.The environment variable needs to be set for the user account SAProuter is running under.
SNC_LIB=d:\saprouter\sapcrypto.dll
secudir=d:\saprouter
2.Go to the Trust Center Service - Download Area and get the "Distinguished Name" for your SAProuter from the list of SAProuters registered for your installation.
thats all. YOU ARE DONE
