Hi,

I install Java WebStart 1.4.2.16 using file

j2re-1_4_2_16-windows-i586-p.exe.

After installation on site http://sap2king:52200/rep

I have error You need to install Javau2122 WebStart 1.4.2.

When I start IR or ID I have error

Unknown File type repository.jnlp.

Please help me.

Hi,

I think there is some installation problem so you deinstall and again install, if you have this executable file "j2sdk-1_4_2_17-windows-i586-p" then install this. otherwise You follow the blogs,

After install u should do some thing

After install the XI server, Install the Java web start after goto C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc directory

and open the host file in notepad, give the IP address and host name. (ex: 10.254.31.114 iginxmiep)

Hi,

You installed only java runtime(JRE) appliction.

Try to install J2SDK with java Web start such as j2sdk-1_4_2_13-nb-5_0-win-ml...

You can find different webstart versions on java sun's site.

Hi,

Higher versions of JRE (>1.4.2) will cause problems for XI applications with Service Pack less than SP11.
