problem with system id

Hi guys,

I am basically SAP BW consultant.I have some problem with system id.I have to connect to our client's system through VPN.When i try to add the server into logon pad its asking for sytem id, system number and server name.but in our client server "system id" is not available.

Where can i check for system id the BW Server.

Your answers are highly appreciated.

The System-ID is the "SID", you give the name of the instance during installation.

The SID is only necessary for SAPGUI if you use a message server to connect and if there are more than on application server (load balancing). If you have just one server you can put anything in the field.

After you connect to the system look in the bottom corner of the SAPGUI, you will see there the SID.

But i see the following options.

System DTF(1)(110)

Host name

Client

User

Program

Transaction

Response time

interpretation time

Now please suggest me which one i have to consider

"DTF" is the SID, 110 the client number.
