Lagacy system data to SAP

Pls. tell me how can we transfer the master data from legacy system to SAP?

Do we need to give a template to user for giving their master data in that format to consulting team? Or user can give data inany format and consultants can map it on their own?

You can use LSMW also to transfer master data from legacy system to SAP.

Best thing is you give the template (based on data to be mapped) and ask user to fill it.

You will have to use BDC or BAPI. Take help from your abaper.
