TREX 7.0 installation on Windows 2003 64-bit

Good day

I would like to install TREX 7.0 on a Windows 2003 64-bit system. I have found a number of OSS notes dating back to beginning 2007 stating that the inclusion of a 64-bit version of TREX on the NW2004s SR2 cd was a mistake and that the 32-bit version of TREX should be installed.

Have a 64-bit version of TREX on this platform been released since then, if so, where can I find it, and if not, do you have any idea when it will be released?

Thanks for the info. I see now that TREX 7.1 is available on 64-bit and is recommended by SAP for NW 7 systems also. Do you know where on sapnet I can download it?

--> SAP NETWEAVER 7.0

--> TREX 7.10

--> Windows Server on x64 64bit

Those are the full packages so no need to download the CDs and then upgrade.

However, as of TREX 7.1 only Linux x64 and Windows x64 are supported. No IA64 and no other platforms.

Hi,

Yes, we had also this very bad surprise.

Our CRM 2007 system is Windows Itanium based. We had to dig out old windows x86 servers for TREX....

According to the PAM, TREX 7.0 is only available as 32bit (see http://service.sap.com/nw2004s ---> Availibility --> SAP NetWeaver 7.0 PAM - there on page 5) and no 64bit version is planned.
