External No range in Billing doc(VF01) & Xcise Invoice(ji11n)

Hi,

Can anybody tell me whether can i set External no. range for vfo1 & for xcise invoice(J1IIN)..

I've checked & its not possible...

It is not possible to give external number range to to invoices in vf01

In exices invoices you have internal number range which is given by system called as Internal document number

and another is official excise invoice number, i think it is possible to give externally but it is not recommended.

It may possible but it is not advaisable to keep extrenal number range to the invoice documnet and as well as excise invoice as per the standard.

you are absolutely right.

In CIN there is no External number ranges are allowed. Only internal assignments are designed.
