Hi,

In my XI box, I go to SICF to check if all the services are activated.

When I go to default_host ->sap-> bc->test service, i get the error:

-

Service cannot be reached

What has happened--> URL: http://xi.domain.com:8000/sap/bc/ping call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

Note-->The termination occured in system XID with error code 403 and for the reason FORBIDDEN

NOte-->The selected virtual host was 0

What can I do-->Please select a valid URL

-->If u do not yet have a user id, contact your system admin

ErrorCode: ICF-NF-http-c:SAPSYS-I:E-i:xi_XID_00-v:0-s:403-r:Forbidden

My RFC destination INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI very well works with a return code 500.

Please advise.

in SXI_CACHE I get the error:

"Unable to refresh cache contents"

"Error during last attempt to refresh cache"

and on double clicking it, i get the message:

Error Id: Communication

if_http_client receive http_communication_failure.

Please advise.

One basic question:

If my XI Runtime Cache is not working, does that mean that I would not be able to carry out any communication through XI?? Im really stuck.

Shobhit,

Any changes you make to your interfaces will not get reflected in cache and runtime.

Have a look at this weblog..

Hi Anand,Sravya,Michal,Youvraj... and all others...

Can someone answer these:

1) In the RFC Dest INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, what port shall I use. I am using 50000 (xi start page port). But somewhere I saw '8000'. Also im using user 'XIISUSER'.

2) in the SLD->Business System->Integration Server->What port shall I use. I am using '8000' here.

3) in SICF, sap->bc->ping service is tested as per the document. But should it be left activated too?

4) in SICF, sap->xi->cache. The anonymous logon data is empty. Is it all right?

5) On going to the link: http://xi:5000/CPACache/refresh?mode=full , it asks for useid/pwd but is not accepting any of the uid/pwds and gives error: You are not authorized to view the requested resource.

Please help.

Hi Shobhit,

There are two types ports being used

1. J2EE Port usally 50000

2. HTTP Port usally 8000

u can check the same using transaction SMICM->Shift+F1

>>1) In the RFC Dest INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, what port shall I use. I am using 50000 (xi start page port). But somewhere I saw '8000'. Also im using user 'XIISUSER'.

Use J2EE Port (from ID URL)

2) in the SLD->Business System->Integration Server->What port shall I use. I am using '8000' here.

Use HTTP Port (from SMICM)

3) in SICF, sap->bc->ping service is tested as per the document. But should it be left activated too?

I checked this in my system it is not activated.

4) in SICF, sap->xi->cache. The anonymous logon data is empty. Is it all right?

I checked this in my system it is blank.

5) On going to the link: http://xi:5000/CPACache/refresh?mode=full , it asks for useid/pwd but is not accepting any of the uid/pwds and gives error: You are not authorized to view the requested resource.

I think you need to use XIDIRUSER for this..

hope this helps..

Regards

Anand
